Agency Accounting Manager

The Atlantic Group is representing an Agency Accounting Manager to assist our client’s insurance and benefits agencies. The Agency Accounting Manager will contribute to the company’s growth and financial excellence. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in a high-growth environment. Responsibilities:
- Collaborating within the corporate office to directly support agency clients.
- Overseeing complex accounting tasks, including P&C insurance intricacies like commission splits.
- Leading agency-level accounting, covering commissions, AR, AP, billing, accruals, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Managing a team of 3 Staff/Senior Accountants, ensuring seamless operations.
- Maintaining intercompany accounting functions and supporting auditors, all while working remotely.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, establishing a robust grasp of accounting principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in accounting and bookkeeping, specifically within property and casualty (P&C) insurance agencies.
- Strong capabilities in leadership and communication, vital for effective collaboration with diverse individuals.
- Proficiency in EPIC software, specialized for P&C insurance agencies; familiarity with AMS360 software is considered.
- Confidence in managing a team over an extended duration.
- Flexibility for remote work.
