Job Overview – Accounting Tax Specialist:

Compensation: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 + bonus
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities as the Accounting Tax Specialist include:

  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of diverse tax returns, including income, sales, and property taxes
  • Conducting comprehensive research on tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborating with relevant teams to ensure the accurate and timely filing of taxes
  • Reviewing financial statements and records to identify avenues for tax optimization
  • Active participation in tax audits and provision of necessary documentation
  • Regularly reconciling tax accounts and effectively resolving discrepancies
  • Contributing to the formulation and execution of tax strategies for improved financial outcomes
  • Staying updated with changes in tax laws to maintain compliance
  • Providing support for tax-related inquiries and issue resolution
  • Enhancing internal tax processes to optimize efficiency

Qualifications as the Accounting Tax Specialist include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong familiarity with tax regulations, laws, and compliance procedures
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns and related documentation
  • Proficiency in tax software and MS Excel for data analysis
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • The ability to work harmoniously within a team
  • Bonus: Progress towards or completion of CPA certification
