Position Overview – Accounting Associate:
Join our client’s team as a temporary Accounting Associate. We're looking for an experienced professional to manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Netsuite and be well-versed in accounting principles, all while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Compensation: $40.00 – $50.00 / HR
Location: New York City
Responsibilities as the Accounting Associate include:
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices and payments
- Reviewing and maintaining vendor contracts to ensure billing accuracy
- Preparing and processing journal entries
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
- Reconciling bank accounts, credit card statements, and employee expense reimbursements
- Managing cash flow and assisting with forecasting
- Collaborating on month-end and year-end close processes
- Working with tax providers on tax-related reporting
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Performing ad hoc projects and analyses as needed
- Utilizing Netsuite to improve accounting processes
Qualifications for the Accounting Associate:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Expertise in Netsuite is a must
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
