Waterborne Oil Settlements Analyst

Responsibilities

 

  • Invoicing of counterparties for product and secondary costs
  • Work with scheduling & external counterparties to resolve pricing/quantity discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Ensure prepayments are made / received accordingly.
  • Various reporting requirements: failed payments, credit risk
  • Perform key settlement functions by creating payment vouchers and receivable invoices on a daily basis
  • Work with treasury for accurate cash application

 

Requirements

 

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar function within Energy Commodities
  • Candidates with prior experience in Oil waterborne settlements are highly preferred
  • Knowledge of waterborne settlements (preferably South America settlements)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, being able to communicate clearly and concisely, moderating style and delivery to suit different parties and media
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in order to deal with competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to work either on their own initiative as well as be a solid team player
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Proficiency in Spanish
