Role Overview – Treasury Manager:
Join a publicly traded real estate investment trust as a Treasury Manager overseeing cash flow planning, forecasting, and treasury operations for a global portfolio across North America and Europe.
Compensation: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 (commensurate with experience) + bonus
Location: New York City – Hybrid
Schedule: Monday – Wednesday onsite, Thursday – Friday remote
Responsibilities as the Treasury Manager include:
Cash Flow Forecasting & Modeling:
- Prepare short and long-term consolidated cash flow forecast models
- Conduct analysis on historical trends and key cash flow drivers
- Build sensitivity analysis to model impacts of variable changes
- Provide weekly cash flow updates to Treasurer and executive team
- Review actuals vs. budgets and forecasts to inform future modeling
- Coordinate with business units on budgeting and timing of obligations
- Incorporate investment pipeline and property level obligations into forecasts
- Track daily cash balances and movements between currencies
- Model interest income, interest expense, and impacts on working capital
Treasury Systems Automation:
- Lead selection, implementation, and management of treasury workstations and systems
- Plan upgrade roadmaps and new technology adoption
- Oversee integrations between systems and cash flow models
- Maintain high uptime and efficient issue response protocols
- Evaluate opportunities to increase automation and efficiency
Cash Management:
- Execute and approve wires, account funding, and short-term investments
- Monitor liquidity levels and cash balances daily
- Coordinate borrowing and pay downs on revolving credit facility
- Submit required transaction notices per company policy
- Review bank and transaction reports for any anomalies
Qualifications of the Treasury Manager include:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related business field
- 5+ years of treasury, FP&A, or other related experience
- Experience in real estate or REIT industry preferred
- CTP, CFA, MBA, or other relevant certification a plus
Technical Skills:
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- High skill level with complex financial modeling
- Experience with treasury management systems (Kyriba experience preferred)
- Knowledge of accounting and reporting standards
Leadership & Communication:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
- Effective written and verbal communicator
