Trading Assistant

We are representing a New York-based alternative investment management firm, which currently manages nearly $19 billion. The Firm’s investment approach is fundamental and research-intensive through a single, centrally-managed investment team.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Answering phones, taking detailed messages, and directing calls within the teams
  • Arranging and coordinating detailed business travel
  • Registering team members for conferences and 1×1’s
  • Managing multiple individual and team calendars
  • Setting up conference calls, both internally and externally
  • Gathering research and deal reports
  • Processing team expense reports
  • Sell-side meeting tracking
  • Entering and updating contact information in CRM system
  • Coordination of team outings and events
  • Providing back-up support to Senior Trading administrative assistant

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in finance
  • Strong sense of urgency; ability to execute quickly and efficiently; proactive and takes initiative
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow up skills
  • Active team player who’s not afraid to get hands dirty, with a can do attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
  • Strong and effective interpersonal skills; adaptable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
