  • Preparation of tax workpapers detailing book/tax adjustments and book and tax partnership allocations for funds and management company partnerships
  • Preparation of workpapers detailing book/tax adjustments for publicly traded REITs and private corporations to support the quarterly and annual REIT compliance tests, tax provisions and other tax requirements including (but not limited to) tax return preparation
  • Data management for tax amortization calculations relating to mortgage-backed securities
  • Data management for tax calculations relating to mortgage loans, real estate and consumer loans
  • Data management relating to investor detail, annual income and balance sheet information needed for tax reporting
  • Monitoring compliance with tax trading guidelines and analyzing potential purchases for tax issues relating to REITs and U.S. and foreign taxable and tax-exempt investors
  • Assist with the automation and maintenance of daily REIT compliance reporting and coordinating with risk, compliance, tax, and public reporting groups
  • Tracking management company taxable income and basis across multiple fund structures
  • Maintaining tax entity database and tax due date calendar
  • Responding to investor tax questions
  • Responding to tax notices from federal and state tax authorities





  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 4-7 years of federal tax compliance experience for flow-through entities.
  • Experience with hedge funds, private equity funds or REITs a plus.
  • Advanced data management and spreadsheet skills required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (required).
