  • Assist with reviewing the hedge fund partnership tax returns, including Forms K-1, prepared by external accountants
  • Assist with reviewing the realized gain/loss reports, qualified dividend reports and unrealized gain/loss reports.
  • Ensure totals reconcile to the audited financial statements
  • Assist with reviewing of wash sale, constructive sale, 1256 contracts, Sec. 475(f) hedging analysis, straddles, and various additional tax items specific to hedge funds
  • Prepare interim tax estimates as requested by investor
  • Prepare management company & proprietary entity tax workpapers Prepare FATCA/CRS and FBAR tax workpapers and filings
  • Prepare and correspond with counterparties regarding tax forms and self-certifications requests
  • Update tax depreciation calculation using FAS system on a monthly basis Prepare personal property tax returns, excise tax returns and sales and use tax returns.
  • Interface with external tax service providers and internal departmental personnel on a regular basis
  • Assist with preparation of tax compliance filings for firm’s overseas operations on an ad hoc basis (e.g. partnership returns, corporation tax returns, employer compliance, VAT returns, etc.)





  • 2-3 yrs HF or PE Tax from public – or Tax person from a hedge fund
  • CPA preferred, not mandatory
