Supply Chain Manager

Responsibilities

 

  • Develops, manages, and provides effective training for processes, procedures, and warehouse management systems.
  • Writes, in conjunction with DC Managers and Supervisors, and reviews standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to process and warehouse/transportation management systems for distribution operations.
  • Investigates process deviations and warehouse/transportation management systems performance, taking the appropriate corrective actions, and escalating to senior management as necessary.
  • Identifies and develops training programs to improve distribution operation efficiencies and reduce non-conformance with company, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Works closely with, and makes recommendations to, senior RTG Supply Chain management, RTG distribution center management, Business Systems Group, Materials Management, Quality / Regulatory Affairs, Customer Service, Finance, Information Technology and 3rd party affiliates, regarding identified issues and decisions related to the RTG Distribution Operations’ processes and warehouse management systems programs.
  • Conducts facility process and warehouse/transportation management systems audits/inspections and provides recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
  • Designs and implements the necessary communication strategies to improve employee awareness and knowledge of warehouse management systems processes across all RTG Distribution Operations departments.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Operations or Logistics
  • 6-8 years of operation’s experience (distribution, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, business systems, engineering) with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Experience with direct process and/or warehouse management technology/systems
  • Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP system), process improvement, and quality systems required
  • Proficient in the use of computers and related software –Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • Operational knowledge of supply chain processes and systems and their impact on other functional departments
