Responsibilities

 

  • Research, analyze and assess credit investment prospects across the capital structure
  • Contribute to the evaluation and negotiation of major deal terms, involving legal documentation, and managing a full investment process
  • Construct financial models (including debt recovery waterfalls) to aid in investment assessment, structuring and financing
  • Prepare and present investment recommendations to Investment Committees
  • Collaborate and manage relationships with various counterparties both internally and externally (investment banks, advisors, private equity sponsors, lawyers, other lenders, etc.)

 

Requirements

 

  • 4 – 7 years of investment banking or legal experience combined with 1-3 years of credit investing experience
  • Experience in organizing complex due diligence work under a reduced timeline, adding to deal sourcing activities and working with external stakeholders (e.g. management, sponsors, investment banks, etc.)
  • Previous experience in restructurings and stressed investing is required
  • Ability to provide insightful thoughts regarding relative value across the capital structure and between different credits
