Sr. Associate Fund Finance

The primary role of the Sr. Associate Fund Finance will be to assist with the oversight and management of the financial reporting and operational control of a subset of six private equity fund families ($9.1 billion aggregate capital commitments) and related General Partner entities. Fund administration is an outsourced model requiring oversight and governance of a third-party fund administrator.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Manage outside vendors including fund administrator, banks, auditor, tax preparers and other service providers to accomplish required tasks / responsibilities
  • Perform detailed review of quarterly reporting packages and other key business deliverables that are prepared by the fund administrator, including financial statements, quarterly investor report, capital calls, distributions, waterfalls (including deal-by-deal allocation of carried interest and related tracing), commitment rollforwards and other performance reporting (NAV’s, IRR, MOIC, DPI, TVPI, etc) for limited partners, members of the General Partner, and senior Firm management
  • Monitor and forecast fund-level cash flows, including all sources and uses, as well as cash balances, receivables, payables and carried interest and related reserves
  • Direct communication with banks to manage subscription financing credit facilities and related compliance
  • Support quarterly valuation process through correspondence with the investment teams, fund administrator and valuation review service providers and assist with the compilation of Valuation Committee meeting deliverables
  • Assist with the management of the annual U.S. GAAP audits and tax compliance process
  • Work with senior finance team members and the CFO on project-based work, including the preparation of periodic senior management reporting, business forecasting and other analyses
  • Oversee the General Partner investor relations function including maintenance of CRM database


Ideal Qualifications


  • 3-7 years of public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Private Equity business and fee-based products preferred
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Good analytical and communication skills, excellent problem solving ability, and exceptional team player
  • Strong desire to apply and enhance existing skill set, proactively take on new assignments and be part of a growing business
  • Must be able to work well under tight deadlines and handle multiple responsibilities
