Responsibilities

 

  • The individual will be responsible for reviewing federal, state, local and foreign tax and informational returns, K-1 allocation work papers, estimates and projections for numerous entities (including onshore and offshore investment funds, real estate funds, domestic and foreign special purpose corporations and partnerships).
  • This person will assist the tax team in coordinating extensive tax compliance functions as well as compliance with global reporting requirements.
  • This person will research tax accounting positions associated with specific transactions and investments and work closely with BackOffice to maximize tax efficient structures.
  • Assist with all tax compliance aspects for the Hedge funds, real estate funds, and CLOs
  • Coordinate with company colleagues in Japan, Singapore, Luxembourg, UK on international tax matters and filings

 

Requirements

 

  • 7-9 years of experience in hedge funds, and investment vehicles
  • CPA license required, MBA a plus
  • Must have compliance experience with investment partnership allocations
  • Individual and corporate compliance experience is a plus
  • Experience with reviewing security analysis for complex investments, including derivatives
  • Research technical tax and accounting issues with the ability to communicate and document findings
  • Proficiency in Excel required
