Senior Project Accountant

Washington DC



  • Tracking design, construction and development costs of assigned projects and properties, including budgeting and forecasting, providing timely and accurate management reporting, and assisting in the audit/review process.
  • Track consulting and construction contracts, including change orders and reallocations.
  • Communicate with vendors and maintain vendor information on file.
  • Process contractor requisitions for payment.
  • Prepare monthly loan requisitions.
  • Prepare monthly project status reports
  • Assist in the review, approval and processing of architect. engineer and contractor invoices.
  • Ensure invoices are recorded correctly in the relevant software applications
  • Review and analyze general ledgers for respective projects and properties, process adjusting journal entries, calculate monthly accruals and update balance sheet support




  • 2-5 years real estate development experience is required
  • Experience in implementing software solutions would be a huge plus, as well, straight private, straight public or public/private
