Senior Manager, Payroll Operations

Responsibilities

 

  • Partner with SVP, Controller to determine the staffing needs for a new Payroll Operations team
  • Transition the payroll function from Human Resources to a new Payroll Operations team
  • Partner with Human Resources to integrate a new HR Management System with ADP Workforce
  • Process bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll until a Payroll Operations team is in place
  • Maintain current payroll process controls and transition to Payroll Operations
  • Partner with Accounts Payable and FP&A to manage company-wide T/E reimbursements (Expensify) and sales commissions, respectively
  • Verify and audit time entries, as applicable, to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Provide support during annual and other audits, as required
  • Build relationships across the company and act as a business partner on payroll matters
  • Provide support to business units and external partners as needed
  • Complete ad hoc projects including, but not limited to, general filings, payroll reports, accounting support projects, etc.

 

 

Requirements

 

  • 10+ years of payroll management experience
  • Experience processing multi-state/multi-entity payroll for more than 1,000 employees
  • Understanding of payroll best practices and familiarity with SOX internal control processes
  • Expert level experience with ADP Workforce required
  • History of integrating payroll process of acquired businesses
  • Proficiency in Excel, ability to work with pivot tables, v-lookups is a strong plus
  • Must have a track record of building out a Payroll Operations team and being an effective manager
  • Strong work ethic and a can-do positive attitude are a must
  • Willing to help the broader teams with various projects and requests, as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
