Senior Investment Tax Specialist

Responsibilities

 

  • Organizes and evaluates RIC income/excise tax provision work papers
  • Formulates statistics that supports financial statement preparation and disclosures
  • Aids in the analysis of securities held by RICs; Arranges estimates of RIC distributions
  • Formulates and assesses partnership tax provision work papers; Prepares information that supports financial statement preparation and disclosures
  • Contributes in the analysis of securities held by partnerships; Calculates joint venture allocations and estimates
  • Prepares and reviews tax returns, their supporting work papers and associated schedules
  • Takes Part in technical and other training to expand skills to improve the employee and client experience; Utilizes investment tax and other accounting skills

 

Requirements

 

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience
  • 1 to 2 years Mutual fund and/or investment partnership operational experience either in fund accounting or financial reporting; RIC or investment partnership tax experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting and tax concepts, practices, and procedures is required
