Records Management Contractor

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for program projects and initiatives, ensuring timelines and deliverables
  • Manage relationship with other vendors as applicable
  • Maintain Retention Schedule, update as needed for changes in business/regulations
  • Actively monitors Retention Schedule to ensure timely and compliant destruction of records
  • Primary point of contact for retention and destruction notifications
  • Write and revise applicable Policies and Procedures
  • Business Owner of additional IT technical Solutions
  • Define User Requirements to ensure compliance
  • Track and manage 3rd party record retention
  • Process and approve WO and PO for RME program
  • Schedule and host regular Governance meetings
  • Track and oversee Legal Holds
  • Coordinate with Legal Department to ensure effective and compliant management of records impacted by Legal Hold
  • Perform periodic review to ensure compliance
  • Escalation and resolution of non-compliances
  • Point of contact for system trouble-shooting inquiries, and inquiries from employees re records management

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree
  • Extensive knowledge of discipline and related processes.
  • Typically requires 5 years’ experience in the related area
  • Mindful of information management legislation
  • Must be dedicated to and proficient in methods of document use, storage, organization and protection.
  • Patience and a methodical, logical approach to work are prerequisites for this role.
  • Knowledge of industry specific software.
  • Working knowledge of current legislation regarding data protection and freedom of information.
  • Policy center experience a plus
  • Sharepoint / O365 experience a plus
  • Pat 11 / Data Integrity / CSV training / experience a plus
