RDA Dental Assistant

Burlington County NJ
Middlesex County NJ
South Jersey, NJ

The RDA Dental Assistant, in addition to the traditional Dental Assistants’ duties, responsibilities and competencies, an RDA is able to work independently (under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist) and multitask in a dental setting. This classification is distinguished from other classifications, in that employees assigned to it must hold an RDA license and perform RDA duties. This classification is NOT attained based on years of experience as a dental assistant. Clear mental ability is essential for the safety of our patients if an RDA is to be working independently on patients. Each state regulates the scope of practice for a RDA and may require them to take specific exams or meet other continuing education requirements to maintain licensure.
