Project Accountant (Construction)

Springfield PA

Our client, based in Delaware County, is looking for a Project Accountant to join their already established team. Open due to growth, our client offers excellent benefits and a defined career path.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Gather, analyze and enter job cost and billing data into accounting system to include initial project set up through project close out
  • Construction industry experience a plus (i.e. knowledge of AIA invoicing, Lien Waivers and Affidavits)
  • Prepare contract invoicing (Lump Sum/GMP, etc.), time and material invoicing and change order requests
  • Generate billing worksheets and provide to PM prior to billing due date
  • Obtain final billing worksheet from PM
  • Coordinate with subcontractor the timely submission of invoices and waivers per contract terms
  • Maintain project billing calendar
  • Report to Manager of Project Accounting

 

Requirements

 

  • 5+ years accounting experience; construction industry experience preferred
  • Accounting / Business degree or commensurate experience
  • Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask projects and assignments
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy as well as meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Experience with Sage preferred
