Project Accountant

Responsibilities

 

  • Examining contractor billings, job cost reports, supervisory reports and other relevant documentation as part of the project team’s monthly pay application appraisal for each Seaport development site
  • Examining and analyzing construction activity and records and cross-referencing the information with project timelines to guarantee correctness, performing reconciliations and highlighting inconsistencies
  • Keeping tracking logs and formulating regular reports summarizing construction and other development costs paid to date, pending, and projected
  • Working closely with the Development team to formulate forms and reports personalized to the specific requirements of each development project
  • Working with Accounting to assist in the monthly preparation of lender requisitions and other reporting requirements
  • Function as liaison between the Development and Accounting teams

 

Requirements

 

  • An ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 3-5 years of related experience with a solid understanding of construction costs and processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization including senior leadership
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team
  • Detail and process improvement oriented
