Production Manager (Manufacturing)

We’re looking for a Production Manager to join an established, privately owned manufacturing firm in the Hatboro, PA area. Excellent opportunity to join a growing organization and become a part of a stable organization. Must have recent experience working in a manufacturing environment in a lead role.

 

The Assistant Production Manager will review, organize and distribute project information and documentation through accurate communication concerning production capabilities, actual workload understanding, and customer expectations. This position will have shared desks in both the warehouse and the office. The ideal candidate will be able to clearly define important details for all aspects relating to production and office documentation whether verbal or written instructions so that improved paperwork flow, organization and process requirements are met.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Attend Production Meetings
  • Pass information between office and production concerning product status
  • Document and communicate critical information concerning customer / product expectation
  • Update through listed orders showing status and expected delivery
  • Update and maintain status of engineering / tooling list of orders
  • Pass files to engineering with production paperwork
  • Answers / Questions
  • Work with Production Managers and Sales to resolve issues throughout all processes
  • Continue to learn the various details of production through Production Management
  • Continue to learn the various details of customer expectations through Office personnel
  • Review and take ownership for all paperwork to be released to production
  • Accurately update routing information to translate customer expectations through process knowledge
  • Ensure all information is available when passed to production
  • Communicate and follow through when it is not
  • Report when material is available and/or expected delivery
  • Organize customer / job information for easy access and update DBA as required
  • Review and securely add Shop Drawings to DBA for future reference
  • Ensure paperwork is ready to pass to production – through accounting and sales personnel – ISO standards
  • Help to support office personnel with order entry, filing, answering phones, general office duties when needed
  • Assist when needed with the quoting process, follow up and general help to move orders into production
  • Assist to accurately translate customer templates, drawings, and/or communication from customer
  • Provide support to the Purchasing department
  • Support production by ordering material when needed and follow through to final delivery
  • Help to maintain and/or organize stock items to ensure inventory needs are met

 

Requirements

 

  • High School Diploma is required
  • Computer proficiency, including the use of MS Office
  • Ability to read CAD drawings would be preferred
  • Respectful, supportive and works well with others
  • Accurate and clear, good communicator
