Physical Oil Environmental Compliance Reporting Analyst

  • Using spreadsheets, databases and internal trade capture methods to keep track of company’s Renewable Volume Obligation, sulfur and benzene, Volatile Organic Compounds, and other parameters associated with importation and creation of renewable and nonrenewable fuels.
  • Executing functions related to the transaction of Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs), including transaction itself, reconciliation of inventory, due diligence on quality, recordkeeping, reporting and organizing external audits.
  • Acting as a trusted subject-matter expert and consultant on the applicable regulations and communicating associated hazards and opportunities to schedulers and traders.
  • Making sure that the company adheres to the state and federal requirements associated with the transaction of transportation fuel
  • Confirmation of Standards on analysis (Gasoline and Diesel)
  • Calculation of RINs related to appropriate transaction events
  • Preparation and Due Diligence in order to formulate Quarterly and Annual reports and work with 3rd party Auditor for Annual Attestations
  • Communicating with external counsel and subject matter experts in field to deliver solutions for new businesses activities and/or new regulations
  • Helping with the addition of new regulations, and evaluating business development on regulatory programs




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the Physical Oil Commodities market petroleum-based fuels sector preferred
  • Advanced level Excel and/or VBA skills are required
