Payroll Administrator

Philadelphia, PA

The Atlantic Group is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator with hands on experience processing payroll. Workday experience would be ideal, but we’re open to experience with other programs as well. This position will support a Payroll department with daily administrative tasks including interfacing with internal and external customers providing high quality service and strong attention to detail.




  • Bi-weekly payroll processing, maintenance of related reports and files, investigation and correction of payroll discrepancies and errors, assistance with pay check and PTO inquiries, completion and submission of check/wire requests to AP
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and withholding requirements, specifically as they relate to local and school district tax withholdings; prepare and file tax documents
  • Generate system reports; review timecards, pay history, in-progress payroll reports
  • Compute accurate gross-to-net payroll including understanding FLSA wages; calculate payroll deductions; reconcile payroll registers and determine/correct out-of-balance conditions
  • Respond to employment verification requests and other administrative requests
  • Calculate and set up employee wage garnishments, communicate with agencies, maintain Expert Pay records; remit biweekly child support payments via Expert Pay




  • Minimum of 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, & payroll systems preferred
  • Required: HS Diploma/GED
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Other Certifications: FPC, CPP certification helpful but not required
