Payroll Accountant

Stamford, CT

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Working with our external PEO to ensure timely and accurate payments to all employees.
  • Calculating sales commissions & other calculated bonuses based on various employee offer letters.
  • Reconciling each payroll and updated reports by department.
  • Working with various department leads to provide them with payroll details for their team.
  • Assisting the technology team with implementing a HRIS, HCM, or ERP solution.
  • Working with management to determine discretionary bonuses.
  • Providing the accounting team with monthly payroll accruals.
  • Working with the accounting team to create and maintain department/team Profit and Loss statements.
  • Posting journal entries for the payroll section of the income statement.
  • Reviewing and approving consultant invoices.

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting or Human Resources degrees are preferred.
  • Experience at a financial services firm is desirable.
  • Technical skills include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational/project management skills and attention to detail.
