Patient Support Specialist

Responsibilities

 

  • Deliver extraordinary service and establish meaningful relations with patients and external partners
  • Resolve difficulties with urgency to help patients/caregivers gain access to therapy and uphold adherence
  • Work with reimbursement vendors to acquire information required for reimbursement
  • Support compliance through product education
  • Use reimbursement knowledge to counsel patient/caregiver on options and assess financial assistance eligibility
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to seek out opportunities to support your teammates
  • Navigate CRM system with ease and rapidly learn internal team processes
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient health information and act in compliance with all laws, regulations and Company policies

 

Requirements

 

  • At least 1 year of work experience in customer service or healthcare industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree ideal
  • Trained at relationship management and dedicated to helping others
  • Expertise in payer reimbursement (including benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and appeals)
  • Fluency in Spanish (optional)
