Operations Associate

Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct trade settlements – direct loans, secondary bank debt & bond settlements
  • Control internal portfolio system (and/or interim solution) to guarantee correct reporting in relation to trade activity, interest payments, contract rollovers, paydowns, PIK’s and restructures
  • Partner with the External Administrator to help sustain/examine daily cash, position, and accrual reconciliations associated with portfolio
  • Manage treasury function including liquidity, proforma cash balances and deal commitments
  • Manage credit facilities and compliance reporting
  • Help front/back office and internal stakeholders by producing reports and providing portfolio information
  • Produce daily/weekly portfolio and activity statements for investment team
  • Coordinate with legal counsel and internal teams on loan syndications and structuring
  • Follow up with counterparties and custodian to clear trade, cash and position breaks
  • Guarantee investment allocations are accurate and corresponded on Closing Date
  • Arrange and observe bank accounts and preserve relationships with third party vendors
  • Setup and supervise trading relationships and provide documentation to counterparties
  • Help in implementing External Fund Administrator, OMS and Loan Administration platform

 

Requirements

 

  • Preceding operational experience with bank debt securities (Two years minimum ideal)
  • Exceptional Excel skills (Pivot tables, Sumifs); knowledge of simple Macros is favorable
  • Robust project management skills
