Operations Analyst, Commercial Desk

  • Daily management and coordination of all contract administration and warehouse management functions for several desk including Zinc, Copper, Aluminum, Conentrates etc.
  • Utilizes and enhance inventory system to record inventory and assure availability.
  • Prepares, processes, and distributes required shipping documents such as coordinating import and export clearances and issuance of bills of ladings, GSP requirements, etc.
  • Interfaces with suppliers and customers, and inter-co offices, where regularly and on an adhoc basis.
  • Responsible for meeting monthly customer quotes, contract review, pricing negotiations
  • Maintain and controls inventory records, allocation of movement in trading system, payment and receipt of material invoices as well as secondary costs
  • Coordinating operational support to transportation and logistics for products handled, including tracking and handling any customer/warehouse/supplier inquires/issues
  • Ensure pricing / hedging are booked correctly and timely into front end trading system as well as ensuring hedge instructions are reported timely
  • Prepares and submits a variety of flash reports to accounting for daily, monthly and yearly inventory tracking such as inventory reconciliation and insurance declarations




  • 3-7 yrs of relevant metals and operational trading experience required
  • Degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, Econ, Operational Mgmt., international transportation or Supply Chain preferred with 3.3GPA and higher
  • High level of excel, Ptables, Vlookups
  • Post pandemic, ability to commute to NYC.
