Responsibilities

 

  • Work with hiring managers in coming up with a recruitment strategy to recognize and source highly qualified and varied talent for current open roles
  • Manage the recruitment procedure and life cycle, including preliminary assessments, interviews, and offers. Deliver recruitment support and direction to hiring managers with hiring and employment data. May develop specialized or competitive intelligence and research regarding talent development or retention.
  • Cultivate a pipeline of talent with high interest in justice reform and a rising affinity for the company’s vision, mission and values
  • Manage the Summer Internship Program, inclusive of the Justice Scholars Program, year-round internships and fellows.
  • Create and publish monthly newsletter
  • Builds partnerships with all levels of staff from individuals to teams, from individual contributor to executive leadership.
  • Advise managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for addressing issues as they arise. Collaborate with Learning & Development Manager to create further training as needed.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and provide reports that support decision making in specified areas.
  • Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.

 

Requirements

 

  • At least 5 years of human resources, talent acquisition, employee relations and engagement.
  • Interest in social justice and knowledge of criminal justice, containing information gained as an individual directly impacted by the criminal justice system.
  • Knowledge in recruiting and hiring diverse talent
  • Ability to take initiative, set priorities, and to work independently and as a team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with colleagues is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Tech savvy. Experience with ADP Workforce and applicant tracking systems, highly preferred.
  • Consistently demonstrates and promotes the company’s community competencies, with special emphasis on equitable and inclusive.
