Legal Compliance Analyst

Responsibilities

 

  • Maintains an in-depth understanding of company policies and procedures and the relevant laws, regulations and industry standards that affect company business.
  • Assists with development, implementation and tracking of compliance training and educational communications.
  • Monitors and reports on speaker program activities to assess compliance with program rules.
  • Assists with development and execution of a compliance auditing and monitoring program.
  • Assists with investigation of reports of non-compliance, fact gathering, documentation, logging, record keeping and reporting.
  • Assists with development, implementation and monitoring of corrective action plans and conducts necessary follow-on activities.
  • Responsible for collection, monitoring, auditing and analyzing aggregate spend data for reporting under the Physician Payment Sunshine Act and state marketing laws.
  • Collaborates with business units to develop and implement tracking mechanisms and processes to facilitate capture of all HCP-related spend for federal and state reporting purposes.
  • Manages data collection of HCP spend activity from internal and external sources and reviews and remediates the data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Manages third-party vendor activities around preparation, validation and submission of federal and state transparency reports to ensure complete and timely filings.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, comparable compliance-correlated experience and/or comparable mixture of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in health care compliance, desirably in a medical device or pharmaceutical company.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access and Word.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the legal and regulatory framework affecting the medical device industry including the Physician Payment Sunshine Act, HIPAA, federal and state anti-kickback and anti-inducement laws, and the AdvaMed Code.
  • Skilled in data analysis and interpretation of results.
  • Audit experience a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of and comfort level with technology solutions and systems.
  • Certification in compliance or healthcare compliance a plus (CCEP, CHC, CHPC).
