IT Support Engineer

Responsibilities                         

 

  • Work with departmental stakeholders to outline business and systems necessities for new technology implementations.
  • Explore new technologies to apply within the modern IT environment to advance the deployment/provisioning processes
  • Keep current with the latest technologies.
  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, and support of PCs (windows, Mac), endpoint operating systems, client hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s key users, department heads, and end-users regarding pertinent IT activities.
  • Accountability for work they undertake and articulate their thoughts
  • Comfortable with fast-pasted and dynamic environments
  • Able to take on ideas and feedback from other technical experts as well as the business and translate into deliverables.

 

Requirements

 

  • At least five years of work experience in IT support
  • University degree in computer science or corresponding experience in IT
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking and ITIL methodology
  • Experience in using coding/scripting to automate/decrease the time taken to complete manual tasks
  • Knowledge of Network Security and Networking Protocols
  • Experience supporting a mixed OS (Mac/Windows/Linux) office network
  • Experience supporting CISCO Meraki Networking equipment
  • Experience setting up and maintaining Cloud-based Active Directory
  • Experience building a zero-trust network
  • Exposure of Languages such as Python
