IT Director (MS Dynamics LEAD)

  • Transition the business from the current ERP system (SAP) to a new ERP (MS D365). The implementation is necessary as the company moves out of a Transition Services Agreement following a recent acquisition by a prominent CPG focused private-equity firm.
  • Work closely with business leaders to understand gaps and pain points in the current D365 environment that affect the organization’s ability to effectively and reliably execute business processes and then identify and implement changes to configuration that best fit those needs
  • Lead the build out of a data warehouse and comprehensive reporting/BI solution
  • Identify and recommend new technology solutions that meet emerging business needs
  • Oversee all technology operations (i.e., infrastructure, network, desktop support, security, etc.) and make recommendations on changes that improve IT service delivery and reliability
  • Align with senior leadership / steering committee on IT priorities and resource needs
  • Direct and lead IT projects, including the implementation of new software and hardware
  • Coordinate IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary
  • Recruit, manage and develop IT staff
  • Devise and establish IT policies that support the goals of the organization
  • Identify security vulnerabilities and reduce risks by deploying strategic solutions that increase data security
  • Build relationships with vendors and create cost-efficient contracts to procure IT equipment, software and services
  • Control IT budget and report on related expenditures




  • BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field
  • Prior experience as an IT Director (or similar role)
  • Working knowledge of the EDI process and related transactions
  • A proven player-coach familiar with working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with a high sense of urgency
  • Strong preference for prior experience with MS Dynamics 365
  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems, specifications and requirements
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, including outstanding communication abilities
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
