Help Desk Technician

We are representing a Help Desk Technician position for a Commodities firm in New York City.

 

Main Responsibility

  • Member of the New York helpdesk, providing support to users in the New York office and remotely to several other locations in the US
  • Reporting to the helpdesk manager

Skills, profile and experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Commodity Trading or Financial Services industry
  • Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • Disciplined, organized, process-oriented
  • Experience with large scale (300 users) upgrade and deployment projects and their management is a strong plus
  • Bright, eager, quick, curious, independent, efficient learner

 

Technical skills

 

  • Active Directory Management, SCCM, Nexthink
  • Microsoft Products: Windows 10, Office, Exchange
  • Desktop hardware: Lenovo desktops, laptops, docking stations, trader workstations with multiple monitors
  • Cisco Call Manager, Cloud9 platform, Videoconferencing
  • Mobile Device Management, Airwatch
  • Remote Access User Support: Endpoint VPN, Citrix
  • Technical familiarity with market data products (Reuters, Bloomberg, etc.)
