Financial Reporting Manager

Summary

This position will be responsible for assisting in the creation and successful and accurate completion of required SEC filing documents. As a member of the accounting team, this individual will report to the firm’s VP of Accounting policy and Corporate Controller. The candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively, foster teamwork, prioritize tasks, demonstrate strong problem solving skills, and have great attention to detail. The services and actions of the individual will always show the professionalism, care and managerial insight that we use to enable our funds to achieve a new level of growth and profitability.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for conducting the external financial reporting process which includes drafting the MD&A, preparing the consolidated financial statements and footnotes using Workiva (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, etc),
  • Ensure timely delivery of financial information to the SEC executive management, the board of directors, our lenders and other relevant parties (including management of XBRL)
  • Responsible for preparation of the financial statements, footnotes and related disclosures
  • Coordinate the quarterly reviews and annual audit procedures performed by our external auditor, including responding to auditor information requests, providing supporting workpapers and discussing significant fluctuations
  • Assist with the preparation of executive committee materials and other presentations
  • Prepare technical accounting memos on a variety of financial reporting topics, such as the following:
  • Consolidation models and changes in ownership interests
  • Business Combinations
  • Goodwill and Intangibles
  • Debt
  • Stock compensation
  • Other ad hoc duties

 

 

 

 

Requirements

 

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, CPA required
  • 5+ years of experience, public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience drafting SEC required disclosures including those required for forms: S-1s S-4s, 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and MD&As
  • Knowledge of SEC filing requirements
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP financial statements for alternative investments
  • Proficiency in MS office products (excel, powerpoint, word)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent analytical, written and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and client service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment, work under pressure, highly driven and self-motivated
  • Familiarity/experience with Workiva
