Finance Associate (Accounting)

Cambridge, MA



  • Cash management of individual funds, including investment planning, expense payments, capital call and distribution forecasting
  • Maintenance of accounting systems and booking of individual journal entries in the fund accounting system
  • Quarterly and annual financial statement preparation and review
  • Preparation of quarterly valuation support, including analysis of financial statements, market conditions, and portfolio company waterfall models for individual portfolio company valuations
  • Distribution waterfall analysis and assisting with the distribution of cash/stock from individual funds
  • Interpretation of legal documents to properly calculate management fees and carried interest for individual funds
  • Management of portfolio company attributes and analysis of investment-level data in investment database




  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance (CPA or MBA would be an advantage)
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in public accounting or a private firm
  • Extreme interest in the venture capital/private equity business
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using other Microsoft products, databases, and G-Suite
