Responsibilities

 

  • Facilitate the Valuation Process primarily in the Private Equity and Real Estate segments
  • Value financial derivatives, complex corporate securities and analyze equity/debt/commodities financial market data history and other quantitative techniques
  • Leverage and continue to develop a deep technical strength in the valuation of alternative assets, serving as a firm resource for that expertise and sharing that knowledge throughout the company
  • Coordinate with third party valuation firms and deal teams to create accurate, timely valuations
  • Produce senior management reports summarizing the results of the fund’s performance on a daily, monthly, and quarterly timeframe
  • Perform advisory valuation services to various business units on an ad hoc basis
  • Validate and update valuation models and inputs and assess applicable methodologies
  • Create summary materials highlighting significant changes/events, to be presented to the valuations committees for their review and approval of all valuations
  • Review and update Fund reports and Marketing materials sent to existing/potential investors.
  • Prepare documentation in support of compliance with SOX and external audit requirements
  • Provide Marketing with detailed materials and responses for Investor meetings inquires and surveys

 

 

Requirements

 

  • 7+ years of related work experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Experience in building valuation models (DCF, Comp Multiple and Option Models)
  • Experience with capital markets/credit valuations preferred
  • The ability to complete financial models under the pressure of tight deadlines
  • Ability to apply modeling techniques to challenging, real-world problems
  • Understanding of Alternative Investment strategies and products
  • Strong functional background working with excel
  • Finance, Valuation or Investment Banking training program preferred
  • CFA professional designation or working towards preferred
  • Familiarity with financial services applications (CapIQ, Bloomberg, etc.) a plus
