Director of Construction (Office Portfolio)

We are representing a real estate family office, that, along with a national portfolio across several asset classes, manages ~2 million sf of office in Long Island, primarily in Suffolk County.  They are looking for someone to take a leadership role alongside the CEO to oversee all capital improvements and long-term operational efficiency of their 10-12 Class A Office building portfolio.

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead all construction-related activities for their Long Island portfolio, including major capital improvements, tenant turnover, energy efficiency initiatives, etc.
  • Manage and grow an internal team as needed

 

Requirements

 

  • 10-20+ years of relevant Class A Office construction experience, ideally from the Owner’s/Owner’s Rep side
  • High-level communication skills, both internally and with the Tenants, as needed
  • Passion for construction, and ability to make decisions, real-time
