Dental Front Desk Coordinator

South Jersey, NJ

We are representing a Dental Front Desk Coordinator opportunity that will play a crucial role by providing the first line of customer service for the office and the entire organization. This position requires the ability to be cross-trained to support clinical staff in dental operations, not necessarily connected to patient care. This could include escorting the patient, helping to complete paperwork, passing out literature, cleaning/flipping rooms, re-packaging instruments, and preparing treatment area for care. The Front Desk Coordinator will report directly to Front Desk Supervisor.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Smile, greet and welcome patients and visitors.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to our patients, coworkers and the public.
  • Follow HIPAA confidentiality guidelines.
  • Verify insurance eligibility.
  • Answer patient phone calls following SBS’s Excellence in “Customer Service” Program.
  • Check patients into the patient management system: SoftDent.
  • Confirm patients not confirmed by Lighthouse.
  • Ensure financial agreements are signed and scanned.
  • Note in patient’s appointments; next day co-pays and balances to be collected.
  • Collect all balances and co-pays.

 

Requirements

 

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in similar role.
  • Dental office experience preferred.
  • Experience with Dentrix is highly preferred.
