Responsibilities

 

  • Support the maintenance of production data associated to master and reference data (commodity products, vendors, customers, exchanges) daily
  • Evaluate gaps in existing datasets (issues and root cases) and make recommendations for improvement
  • Evaluate data inputs for errors and build out appropriate workflows to improve data quality
  • Apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative work-flow efficiencies and implement technology solutions to enhance our processes and software
  • Provide approval for data changes requested by the business
  • Perform periodic data quality reviews for internal and external data
  • Ensure timely resolution of queries and data issues
  • Assist manager in establishing data integrity guidelines
  • Assist in the assessment of current data management processes across all CCI functions and systems
  • Participate in discussions/meetings to evaluate the need for a new data management system
  • Execute on end to end data ingestion process across all CCI functions
  • Recommend and support ongoing management of data rules and workflows
  • Assist as required with managing strategic initiatives around data projects for commercial business
  • Liaise with all functions across CCI in order to gain understanding of current data flow, data architecture, investment process as well as gather functional/business requirements.
  • Create business requirement documents, process documents, UAT test cases and perform UAT

 

Requirements

 

  • Previous experience or robust knowledge and understanding of the commodity markets & experience with commodities data (Product, Market, Exchange etc.) and ETRM Systems
  • At least three to five years’ experience with data management and expertise with data management and data analysis concepts
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience with CXL, SQL Advanced MS Excel skills required
  • Effective project management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Prior Experience with Alteryx, SAP preferred
  • Keen interest in information management, technology and product development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or related degree
