  • Carry out all phases of billing operations to guarantee timely and accurate filing of government and third-party medical claims certifies top reimbursement collection efforts and abides with corporate and legal rules and procedures.
  • In addition, the biller performs the maintenance of the billing requirements set forth by Medicare/Medicaid carriers and the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) CMS1500 forms, including Medical Necessity.
  • Identifies, verifies, and records billing information via computerized billing software package.
  • Reviews documentation in medical records in order to verify accuracy of charge information and to assist in preparing responses to requests of third-party payors.
  • Prepares memos/forms/correspondence.
  • Address claims correspondence and questions from third parties.
  • Create and maintain Accounts Receivable files.
  • Consistently seeks process improvements to ensure the billing team is effective and efficient.





  • High School diploma, GED and/or comparable blend of education and experience.
  • 2 year of basic technical training in medical terminology and ICD-9 coding
  • At least 2 years business or medical office experience.
  • Knowledge of medical billing software required.
  • Strong data entry skills.
