Responsibilities

 

  • Oversight of accounting processes and procedures
  • Lead and complete monthly financial closing process within required timeline
  • Distribute financial reports, including balance sheets, income statement, cash flow and variance commentary within required timeline
  • Lead and complete annual budgeting process within required timeline
  • Support the Corporate finance team’s preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Responsible for the preparation of all required general ledger reconciliations, including reviewing all balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for overseeing accounting procedures, internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing) for the country accounting department
  • Oversee programs to minimize risks and losses that may arise from financial transactions and business operations undertaken by country operations
  • Manage annual audit with outside audit firm, including interim audit work
  • Manage filing of ancillary tax and corporate returns (i.e. Sales and Use, Escheat, Real Estate and Personal Property, Annual Corporate filings, etc.)
  • Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable processed in country operations
  • Manage maintenance of fixed asset records
  • Provide business-planning support and ensure that long range forecast, annual business plan, and quarterly reviews are developed and submitted for corporate management review within required timeline

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and CPA and/or MBA in Finance required
  • 10+ years’ prior Accounting or Finance experience
  • Experience working with international subsidiaries a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience working with automated accounting systems, (i.e. JD Edwards, MAS 200), Microsoft Office
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, data extraction, and ability to manipulate and organize data into useful formats
  • Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Job costing and percentage completion experience highly desired
