Responsibilities

 

  • Complete and direct team in preparation of month end and annual financial reports to meet executive management and external stakeholder reporting on a US GAAP basis
  • Perform monthly reporting and account reviews; preparing and presenting monthly financial statements to the management team
  • Review monthly journal entries of staff to ensure proper recording of revenue, cost of services provided, disbursements, payroll, depreciation, etc.
  • Partner with treasury and revenue cycle management teams on processes and monthly reporting
  • Establishes and maintains the organization’s financial accounting and reporting systems
  • Leader of technical US GAAP topics including new standards such revenue recognition (ASC 606) and forward-thinking on business impact
  • Responsible for establishing accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Working closely with the FP&A function in preparing budgets, forecasts and variance analysis to management
  • Monitoring budget to actual revenue and expenditures and working with budget holders to analyze and report on variances, proactively recommending required actions
  • Ensure key policies and procedures are documented and/or followed to satisfy internal controls and audit requirements
  • Identify areas in need of improvement in financial accounting applications and operational procedures and effectively communicate these value-added solutions to senior management
  • Evaluate ongoing staffing needs, (5 to 10ppl), future hiring, supervising, and improving the accounting function by providing leadership, mentorship and coaching

 

Requirements

 

  • Public/private CPA with Controller/Asst Controller level experience (in a private equity backed company a plus)
  • Minimum of 10+ years of financial and operational experience and in progressively responsible financial leadership roles such as Controller (background in public accounting preferred)
  • WOULD CONSIDER a straight public Senior Manager with Healthcare clients
  • Relevant industry experience in a Healthcare services environment a big plus
