Compensation Accounting Analyst

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for preparing month-end closing, journal entries, various reconciliations, and compensation-related processes
  • Focus will be on compensation accounting, including complex trader payouts, employee special investments, compensation analysis and automation of various processes
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly reporting/analysis to senior management/business heads and lead initiatives to automate and streamline reporting capabilities
  • Oversee certain trader payout processes and other compensation-related projects/initiatives
  • Emphasis on client-service with daily interaction with various other departments including HR, legal, middle office, IT, trading teams and business heads

 

Requirements

 

  • No less than six years in a Finance or Accounting Role, (e.g. ideally public and/or private accounting background with hedge fund experience in compensation accounting/trader payouts)
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or associated major favored
  • Robust Excel skills (including v-lookup and pivot tables); experience with Oracle would also be a plus
