Associate Director, Investor Relations

Responsibilities

 

  • Ability to organize and analyze investor and portfolio data.
  • Ability to identify and qualify prospective investors as directed by Managing Directors.
  • Support Managing Directors in client engagement, including but not limited to in-person meetings, calls, conferences, and global travel as well as prepare materials (RFPs, marketing materials, etc.) in advance of investor interactions.
  • Leverage portfolio data analytics to develop and respond to various investor reports, both for distribution and presentation materials for use during investor meetings.
  • Maintain, backfill and enhance the CRM system, which will include retrieving and integrating data from other operational systems (including Bloomberg and Lightkeeper).
  • Liaise with other departments across the firm, particularly Data and Risk Analytics, Fund Finance, Financial Reporting, Tax, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams on cross-departmental projects and issues.
  • Assist in preparation of all materials necessary for any investor meetings and events, including the Annual Partners’ Meeting.
  • Serve as a resource with regard to ad hoc investor data requests, employing strong customer service focus.
  • Assist with the overall investor outreach and servicing responsibilities, including exhibiting consistent professionalism, friendliness and patience when communicating with the investors and all internal team members.
  • Exercise significant discretion in leveraging data with respect to the company’s investor relations policies and leading investor requests.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities for the administrative, rotating temporary employees’ day-to-day duties.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • CFA strongly preferred and/or 5+ years of alternative investment industry experience as part of an investor relations, marketing, or client service team. Capital introductions experience at an investment bank will also be considered.
  • Investor outreach support and some marketing experience is preferred.
  • Big picture thinking combined with an exacting attention to detail.
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills required. Strong Bloomberg skills also preferred.
  • Experience using a Client Relationship Management Systems a plus.
  • Client-focused professional with initiative and innovation who proactively seeks out internal resources and proposes solutions.
  • Strong interest in global equity markets and alternative investments is expected. Must demonstrate intellectual curiosity and desire to learn the firm’s investment process.
