Accounting Supervisor/Manager

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with the monthly closing of the general ledger, review journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, and analyze the results of the financial close.
  • Gather information required to prepare variance analysis and financial forecast.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of the A2000 financial reporting system and general ledger structure.
  • Prepare and review monthly account activity and reconciliations confirming accurate financials and analyzing for potential opportunity savings.
  • Collect and analyze financial information to recommend and provide strategic solutions to business and financial challenges.
  • Partner with Operations to ensure business activity is recorded accurately and timely.
  • Ensure that the timely reporting of all internal and external financial reporting is achieved in a complete and final fashion.
  • Collaboration with other department heads to support overall department and company goals and objectives.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles in accordance with the US GAAP
  • Oversee all aspects of global inventory accounting including but not limited to purchase price variance, reserve analysis, reporting, gross margin analysis and audits.
  • Manage all taxes inclusive of federal, state, federal and sales tax.
  • Assist Management with ad-hoc projects and reporting when needed.

 

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 4-7 years of experience in roles directly related to general accounting.
  • Knowledge and clear understanding of US GAAP standards and procedures
  • Prior supervisory experience in general ledger a plus.
  • CPA a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work seamlessly independently of as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external parties ie auditors and 3rd party vendors
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
