Job Overview – Accounting Supervisor
Join our client's team as an Accounting Supervisor! In this position you will oversee staff performing daily operations which may include accounts payable, ledger maintenance, financial statements, and audits. Located in Burlington County, NJ, this role offers the opportunity to work in a corporate office with a welcoming and casual culture while contributing to the financial success of the organization.

Location: Burlington County, NJ – Onsite
Compensation: $95,000.00 – $105,000.00

Responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor Include:

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and government contracting regulations.
  • Manage cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation, variance analysis, and overhead allocation, to support accurate financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting tasks and projects.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function, implementing best practices and streamlined procedures as needed.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including finance, procurement, and operations, to support business initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications of the Accounting Supervisor Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a combination of public accounting and corporate finance roles, with exposure to government contracting preferred.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics software, with proficiency in additional modules desired.
  • Understanding of cost accounting principles, including inventory valuation and overhead allocation.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
  • Prior supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
