Accounting Analyst-Management Company/General Partnership Accounting

Responsibilities

 

  • Review weekly transactions and general ledger reporting to ensure accuracy
  • Review and/or prepare monthly/quarterly accounting workbooks and statements across multiple entities
  • Manage quarterly regulatory filings and annual audits
  • Oversee investment related expenses (prospect deal budgets, portfolio company billing) as well as fund related expenses (legal, audit, etc)
  • Review company travel and expenses to ensure compliance with policy
  • Evaluate key vendor relationships and performance
  • Develop process control narratives and maintain going forward
  • Assist with treasury function including the preparation and processing of wires
  • Assist with managing external fund administration including coordinating tasks, reviewing workpapers, and reviewing postings of notices to investors
  • Assist with complex carried interest calculations and distribution calculations
  • Assist with reporting to firm GP members and principals
  • Be proactive in streamlining current processes
  • Help create and prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages
  • Assist with any other special projects that may arise

 

Requirements

 

  • Accounting degree, GPA 3.5+
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience (management company /private equity/ financial services a plus)
  • CPA or seeking to be a CPA a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced skills such as pivot tables, vlookups, etc.
  • Familiarity with Private Equity/VC/FOF is a plus
