Position Overview – Network Security Engineer:
Join our client’s team as a Network Security Engineer. They are a leading provider of managed security and networking platforms, offering a wide range of products and services, including Fortinet SD-WAN, Palo Alto, and Cisco. In this role, you will contribute to customer solution development, research, design, technical support, and automation initiatives.
Compensation: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00
Location: Quincy, Massachusetts or Orlando, Florida
Responsibilities as the Network Security Engineer include:
- Designing and implementing complex customer solutions
- Integrating management and monitoring platforms
- Developing and deploying automation and integration tools
- Providing tier 3 technical escalation and troubleshooting
- Supporting network maintenance, patching, and updates
- Collaborating with business units to identify and address process inefficiencies
- Investigating and developing new and innovative products and offerings
Qualifications for the Network Security Engineer:
- Self-starter with a goal-oriented mindset, capable of working independently
- Experience with network security products, especially the Fortinet product suite
- Hands-on experience in network and security appliance configuration and troubleshooting
- Understanding of Networking, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, and SD-WAN
- Knowledge of network and security design concepts and best practices
- Familiarity with API and application interoperability concepts
- Proficiency in coding and automation concepts
- Previous experience in customer-facing technical support roles
