Job Overview – Corporate Development Associate

Join our client's team as a Corporate Development Associate and play a key role in shaping the strategic growth initiatives of our dynamic organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity for ambitious professionals to contribute to corporate development activities, gain valuable experience, and work closely with senior leadership.

Compensation: $100,000.00 – $140,000.00 
Location: New Castle County, DE – Hybrid Schedule

Responsibilities of the Corporate Development Associate include:

  • Work closely with the corporate development team to identify and evaluate potential strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and due diligence on potential transactions, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Support the deal execution process from initial evaluation to negotiation, due diligence, and closing, ensuring efficient and effective transaction management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to facilitate the successful integration of acquired businesses and assets.
  • Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for senior management and external stakeholders, articulating the strategic rationale and financial impact of proposed transactions.
  • Maintain industry knowledge and market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for corporate development initiatives.
  • Provide analytical support and insights to senior leadership on various strategic projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications of the Corporate Development Associate:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate M&A, private equity, or Big 4 transaction advisory services with a strong background in financial modeling and deal execution.
  • Experience in conducting financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and transaction support.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Industrial deal experience preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
