Benefits Coordinator

Our client is a large non-profit located in Manhattan. Their reach spans into other parts of NYC including the Bronx, Staten Island, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester counties in New York, and their network serves roughly 3 million people in addition to supporting various schools, hospitals and charities. They are now looking to add a Benefits Coordinator to their HR team.

 

This position offers a salary of up to $55k plus full benefits and a very generous vacation policy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Enter employee benefit data using the Lawson, United HealthCare and other various systems
  • Review all new hire data to ensure accuracy.
  • Process billing adjustments to monthly consolidation invoice on a timely bases
  • Handle distribution of monthly Coverage Continuation Right Letters and Health Exchange Notifications mailings
  • Maintain the benefit coverage process, including, weekly notifications, monthly invoices, and all related mailings
  • Maintain a timely response rate to inquiries
  • File data and perform other duties as assigned
  • Handle high volume work flow during peak period

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year relevant experience in benefits administration
  • Proficiency in Lawson HRIS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills; written and verbal
